So you just like the tactile feel of browsing books in person? What product/service does that store offer that you can't get online?

You're right...I like prowling around looking for old or rare or collectible books.

For one thing, you don't have to pay for shipping. I know of a couple of used bookstores in the DC area but not many large ones. Some have rare books but not so much in the way of regular ones.

i have to agree with cliff. there's nothing that replaces wandering around a bookstore and just browsing. i used to do this at barnes and noble in reston every once in a while and it was always fun. i am also more likely to pick up a book in a bookstore because i can look through it and see if it has the information i need, or is interesting, or maybe it inspired me, etc. i will usually only buy a book online if i know exactly what i'm looking for, if it's significantly less, an older printing, etc. but honestly i'd much rather support a local bookstore (not a large chain) any day.

I noticed that there is a Pei Wei about to open in Leesburg. It's in the shopping center on Market street that was recently renovated - with the Office Depot, PetSmart, etc.
