I wonder if they will have a liquidation sale like Circuit City :).

They are not tripling coupons at the Ashburn store. They are offering 20% off of a lot of groceries, bath & beauty and wine right now, but they are already starting to clear the shelves. Almost all the fresh produce was gone and they were packing up lots of other things when I was there this morning.

I wasn't impressed with the current status of Circuit City's "Liquidation Sale." Most items were only 10% off and a few were 20-30%. That's fine, but hardly an impressive discount.

The back page of the Loudoun Easterner has an ad for Shoppers stating that "almost everything in the store is now 20-30% off. Some exclusions may apply. No discount will be given on produce, milk, eggs, gift cards, stamps, lottery, film processing, money orders, or pharmacy."

    Ashburn Farms store only

Went around 4. Very little produce, soda and chip aisles cleaned out. Plenty of TP and papertowels and food. Everything is 20-30% off (minus what was mentioned earlier, milk, frozen meat, etc)

    Alas... no donuts either. :(

Does anyone know if this means they won't be making another donut till they close? I was hoping to get that one last treat, and would be more depressed if I make a special trip to get some - if they have already stopped.

Yeah, they're not baking anything anymore back there. The bakery is dark and all the cakes and stuff are gone too.

Now if you want Colossal donuts you'll have to go to the Sterling or Leesburg locations. Bummer.

It would be great to get a Trader Joe's out this way.

Does anyone know if the Shoppers is offering substantial discounts on canned goods? We are currently working a canned food drive for charity and this might be a good way for us to load up.
