I see that the anti-BRMC crowd is throwing a victory party at the community center. I'm wondering if the HOA is paying for any part of it. I sure hope that the answer is no - and if not I wonder where the money is coming from...

The community center can be rented by any Broadlands resident for a modest fee ($300 I think).

I truly doubt the HOA is paying for any portion of the party.

You know what. If the money is not coming from the HOA then it is NUNYA.

    None of YOUR business.

If you knew anything about your Board of Directors you would know that several are pro hospital and several others are anti hospital. There is no way the HOA would pay for anything hospital related pro or against. It just wouldn't be proper.

What would be interesting is to find out if INOVA is paying under the table for a local resident to sponsor this.

They've done it in the past.

If INOVA is up front with it I wouldn't see a problem with it.

As a homeowner member of the BOD .. I can categorically say, that no HOA money is supporting any party. Whoever is organizing this is doing so as a homeowner within Broadlands, and is paying all the appropriate rental and security fees.

I understand it's being handled by Johnson Enterprises, an event planning company that handles a lot of things for the hospital. I don't see why they would be open about it when nobody ever was in the past. I also think the celebration is premature.....

That's quite interesting. I'll be curious to see who pays the final bills. I wonder if it is the same checkbook that wrote the checks for the "resident sponsored letters"? [:0]

    Thanks for the info Thunder.

There's no doubt who is funding this party. This has been a corporate campaign from the beginning. The entire campaign reeks of corporate greed. LHI/INOVA (pronounced lienova) has been funding this gorilla campaign with resources and cash, for the entire effort. LHI/Inova is behind this, and it is being fronted by Donna as a grass roots event.

What they should be celebrating is their effective cover-up of the HIV infection scare. Has anyone been reading about the 144 patients being tested for potential hepatitus and HIV infections? LHI/INOVA buried this story until after the BOS vote. They even delayed notifying the effected patients until after the vote. If I was one of those patients, I'd want to know why I wasn't notified immediately.

Where is a good conspiracy theorist when you need her? How about some speculation and conspiracy thoughts on Johnson Enterprises involvement with this party? I am sure one of the more involved posters on this issue, will know of their background.

Also, why is LHI/Inova celebrating? Was it really about money, monopoly and killing competition all along? DUH! You bet! It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to realize that. So don't give me a bunch of crap about how HCA is unethical. LHI/Inova has nothing to be proud of, other than a great corporate smear campaign to keep competition and choices in healthcare out of this county. It amazes me that folks want to celebrate that.

Oh, one other thing. I hear LHI/Inova is having a hard time getting the 4,000 supposed Broadlands supports to come eat their free food? Maybe they should bus in their employees to make sure they have people showing up.

What this proves is that the LHI/Inova SWAT team has been behind the entire campaign, yellow shirts and all. I have to give them credit, they did an excellent job of staying behind the curtain and using their front people as puppets for getting this thing to the next step.

Neilz: Should I have put this under another topic heading of "You Can't Handle the Truth". (not you personally):)

AFGM, even though the adolescent mental health facility has been dealt a rather thorough setback at present, have you considered seeking counseling elsewhere? Seriously, between Blackout and BRMC, you seem wound a bit tight at present.

Nice attempt at a diversion Barbara. I guess that buys you time to check with Steve Snow to see how to respond. You're usually more prepared than that.

AFGM, if you're going to play inside rabble rouser, you need to be more on top of the news than a week or more late, unless this is just your usual selctive formulaic recycling of an event that you want to raise Cain about. I can understand if you're trying not to bust waiting for someone to raise an issue for you to chime in on, but if it doesn't happen then THAT should tell you something.

I doubt Steve Snow would waste his time responding to a request of mine to review your rant and tell me how to respond to it. I have little to respond myself other than to note that after one wipes the foam off of it, it still says little more than "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

If you want my opinion, why not ask a direct coherent question and I'll give it a go?

A second attempt to divert the topic. Frankly, I am not effected by your personal attack.

So...keep it in the court, talk about the issue and not about some vendeta you have against people that don't agree with you.
