    Chris-
We would definitely eat at a vegetarian restaurant.
There is a veggie restaurant near downtown Indianapolis called "Essential Edibles." I, a devout carnivore, would probably never eat meat again if every meal was from that place.

Wow! Now I have to open up a veggie place. It sounds like I could draw from a fairly diverse audience.

Juice bars by themselves won't work. Health clubs tried them back in the 80's with no luck what so ever.

You're right...juice bars by themselves won't work here...but in Asia and the Middle East region they are extremely popular. I guess much is due to the culture as well as the differing climate in the region.

India had it's own version of Starbucks called "Barrista." To me, Barrista far surpassed Starbucks and I wish they were here. Many were open 24 hours and in addition to having a variety of different coffees and teas, they also offered scrumptious desert and sandwiches. Also, similar to Starbucks, there were checkboards, guitars, decks of cards, etc., scattered around the tables.

It's because the people are too poor to eat at McDonalds but you can always juice some figs and dates.

In Vancouver, BC, "bubble drink" was a popular thing in the asian influence areas. I think it's a thick yogart like drink with something that resembles bubbles in it.

smythla - I hope that was intended as humor. I have a much more robust sense of humor than most in this forumn and even I find your statement ill-concieved.

Juice bars are very popular in Kuwait and they are certainly not poor!

Although Pakistan does qualify as a poor country juice bars were popular there because of the plentiful selections of fresh fruit as well as the exhausting heat during the summer months, making fresh fruit drinks invigorating and most inviting!

With today's discovery of BSE (aka mad cow disease) in the U.S. food supply, it might just be the time to start up a veggie restaurant.
