...in Southern Walk Plaza, silly..:) But to give you a picture - if you know where the Southern Walk Pool is located on Claiborne, it is around the corner to the left just before the new Townhomes (4 - way stop sign). There is a few ways to get there so look around you will find it in the new shopping center, along with the new Harris Teeter opening April 24th.

Agree on the Vermonter, it was quite good!

We’ve gotten take out from Glory Days twice and have been disappointed both times. The first time, my husband left to pick it up right after he placed the order to make sure he got it as soon as it was ready to it would be hot and fresh. We only live two minutes away but when we opened it up to eat, the food was barely lukewarm.

We tried again last night, and they forgot to give us the French fries we ordered (but were charged for) and the dipping sauce for the onion rings. Husband called them to tell them he was coming back for the missing items. By the time he got back home, the onion rings were cold (we were waiting for the dipping sauce to eat them).

We’ve eaten in the restaurant once, and besides the relative inexperience of our server who brought us our food while he was still chewing something he had eaten back of house, we were happy. But we’ll be giving our take out business to different restaurants from now on.

I agree the service there is sub par at best -- although the few times I have eaten there, the food was OK, no complaints from me on that part of it, but I don't like going some place and waiting 10 minutes to get a drink order in.

Has anyone noticed the lack of ability for the servers to bus a table -- I was there for a few hours yesterday and one table remained dirty from time I arrived until I left.

Take out does need work. They forgot the cheese on my cheeseburger, and the dipping sauce on the wife's sandwich she asked for. I called and went back to get it. Kid meeted me outside only with the sauce, and asked me for my burger. Told him at was at home. He actually then told me, and I quote, 'Well sir if you go get it and bring it back we can put the cheese on it for you.'

I sat there for a couple seconds staring at him then told him pretty firmly to go get a piece of cheese, put it in a to-go box and bring it to me.

    Food was good though.

I see a lot of responses on the food side of the house. But does anyone know how the bar side is? Are the bartenders knowledgeable? Is it packed? Is there even a bar?

at Glory Days, the bartenders leave a lot to be desired... from my limited experience. They are not very knowledgeable or generous but I think part of that is due to the "newness" of the place.

That is perhaps the funniest thing I have read in a while. I know it wasn't funny to you buty I can just imagine you driving around with a cheese-less burger.

We were there for a friends bday. We ordered two girl scout cookies, and the bartender didn't know what they were. I'm not sure if that is a popular drink or not, but I usually get it wherever I go. She did look it up somehow (internet or drink book) and made us the drink. Honestly, it was one of the best I've ever had.

This, however, is probably one of the only nice things I can say about them. I definitely have my share of complaints - and there are A LOT! I talked with the manager (Sean) the last time we went and expressed the concerns we have had. He was very nice and apologetic. He did stress that they are having problems getting help with servers.

Its too bad that I flunked out of my 2 week bartending school or I could work there and show em a good bartender. And to think I only flunked out because I drank all the drinks I made and the instructor didnt have a chance to drink them.

I might take a walk over to glory days tonight to see what it is like.

My guess is that no one on this string so far has actually been to Glory Days to eat. I've never been compelled to write a bad review, but in the spirit of creating a zagat-like list for the eating public in the Broadlands area all I can say is don't bother eating at GD. The service was horrible and the food even worse. Not only that, but both adjacent tables with different wait staff had just as many problems. I hope GD moves out and a good family restaurant moves in.

I have eaten there, and found the food to be ok (horrible service though) ... and if they move out who will sponsor the Broadlands softball team???

In a perfect world it would be replaced by a small craft brew-pub with no plans on selling to budweiser. But if it goes out of business it will probably become a burger king.

If it is really as bad as everyone says why not email Rob Lapointe who is the director of operations for the entire franchise and let him know how bad the service/food is?

My family and I have eaten there 4 or 5 times. We've never had bad food or service though we stick to pretty basic foods (Chicken tenders, 10 spice chicken, chicken sammys, etc.) when we eat at places like GD.

Same here, we've ordered take out & eaten in 5-6 times. The food is decent comfort food. Nothing has made me say "eeewwww", and if I don't finish my meal there, I do for lunch the next day.

As for the service, I agree that it is slow and the servers are easily confused. But they are soooo nice!

We've been there once, and I'm wicked picky. The food was 'fine'. I didn't expect gourmet, but what we got (I had the Vermonter) was quite satisfactory. It was also a place where I was comfortable taking my two small children, so I'm happy to have them in the hood, and we'll go back.

I have not tried anything else because everytime I head that way I end up at ANOTHAI :)

I went there last week for the first time and ended up going 3 times in the same week (with 3 different people who wanted to try). Service the first time was excellent on the patio, second time had a little problem with my order-but they fixed it quickly with apologies. Service was a little slow on Saturday evening (according to manager they had 7 servers instead of 12-14 scheduled). The food was always pretty good and those that did serve were very friendly. I think they will be fine once everyone is trained. All of these new places opening will certainly give every teenager who wants to work a place to enter the world of paychecks :D

We've eaten there several times and we like it. We've eaten the Spaghetti and Homemade meatballs, Beef on a Weck sandwich, chicken fingers, beefsteak dinner - a sampling of the menu items and it's all been pretty good. The kids like the TV entertainment. The service we have received has been average.
The ToGo service needs a little work, but that can be fixed.
