I was at a restaurant the other day and they had their Flying Colors award prominently displayed by the register.

Yeah, the other two times we've been there we've been happy with our food. Just the ribs for some reason could use some improvement. The sweet potato fries are original and tasty!

Driving past the restaurant that used to be Spicetown, on Ashburn Rd. just north of the firehouse, I noticed that it reopened as a new restaurant called Paris Prestige. There was an "Open" sign in the window.

Heard that Starbucks in Broadlands Marketplace (SW) is closing soon.

Also heard that one of the Radiance spas, either here or Lansdowne may close.

that's a great corner- i hope a real cafe or deli that serves breakfast snaps it up...
ever heard of a Quick check? in NJ, they are a quickie mart that sells made to order sandwiches- better than mickey d's and as good as a decent deli.

if i had franchise money THAT would be what I would buy and plop in the Broadlands...

that's a shame. i like that starbucks! what i don't get is why they don't close the ones where there are 2 starbucks in the same shopping center (i.e. safeway and just a few doors down in the same strip mall!)....

I was a Radiance regular for years. But the experience was never spa-like. The front desk service and some of the stylists "skills" left a lot to be desired.

Try Modern Concepts in old Ashburn. It's the best.

Brit - I totally agree with you on that! I was really turned off by their front desk service and wasn't very happy with the stylists either. They all acted like they were doing me a big favor! Excuse me???? I'm a paying customer! I don't put up with that.

The one in Safeway is horrible, their drink makers are not employed by Starbucks and don't have clue 1 what they are doing. I got to 3 on my drink sheet (I think it was 7 to get a free one) before giving up on them.

And those employed by Starbucks know what they are doing? Starbucks coffee - packed variety - is good, but I've yet to experience Starbucks made at a Starbucks that tastes like anything other than dirty milky water.
