It's been two weeks since the "promised" start date. What's the excuse now?

It absolutely stinks that there are already poles in place in Brambleton at their 4-way stop and nothing here in Broadlands. I've asked for yet another update and I'll post when I get a reply.

FWIW ... the one at Waxpool is the county's, and the one at Broadlands Blvd is the developers. I know the developer one is being reviewed by VDOT, and I have no idea what is being done at the waxpool one.

FWIW ... we'll be having a HOA sponsored developer update meeting in November, and you can ask the developer direct !!

Notice no mention of whether that's November 2005 or some other year.

There is also a period of time where the lights flash and act as a 4 way stop before they officially turn them on. The power company could also delay in getting them hooked up as they are way behind.

Don't expect them to work anytime soon, there will be reasons why they are not working even after the poles have been set. This could even go into next year.

    Well,
The mysterious, unexpected, hard to avoid rock is still in the ground at one corner of Waxpool/Claiborne. The current contractor can't resolve the issue, so they're calling in someone else to see if they can solve the problem. I can only imagine how much this will delay things.

Oh, the rocks are still there! I guess they thought if they waited long enough, the rocks would disolve themselves.

Oh, another surprise! They need to order poles? Who would have thought they needed poles to install the lights?

Who are these guys -- the Keystone Cops?

I guess, what with current state of world affairs and all, it would be inappropriate to ask if anybody had anything around the basement they could drop in the hole to make the rocks go away.[)]

If this is blue rock they are going to need a ram hoe!!

A lot of work chipping it out little by little.
If this is the case you won't see lights working until next year.

They will also have to ram hoe to get the wires there also, if they have not done so before.

Welcome to the world of construction!

Maybe they could use the ram hoe for something else to get someone moving on this never-ending project...[}:)]

    You'll all like this one......
The county sent us a letter dated 10/31/05 stating that they have authorized release of the funds so that the light at Waxpool/Claiborne can now be built.................
What the he** have they been doing with the money for the past year and a half!!!!!!! The money's been sitting there, but they have just now released it to be spent!!!!!!!
Governmental bureaucracy and bumbling at its best!

This has to be the most screwed-up traffic signal installation in history! Wait until the Wendy's opens in a couple of weeks. I can't take it!!!!!
