The people who run the website were called morons by me, a USER of the forums. An insult backed up with illustration of the justifications for it. Notice the 'defense' hasn't quantified anything except 'we are big and important'. The simple facts, mistakes, and lack of attention to detail all stand exactly as they were.

They screwed up - big time. Haven't seen them contest any of that.

In your job are you free to screw up all the time? Is that expected of you? "Congrats on the hard work Mike... your job is 67% accurate.. good job!"

I wish I were free to screw up, but sadly I am not. I haven't been called out as a moron in public though.

I'm sure some people have called them worse internally :) IT is a pretty thankless job because most users don't interface with IT unless something is broke. They forget the 18 months they worked error free and fixate on the last 2 hrs they've been down :) And so many are so understaffed or ill managed that they never get out from being underwater so every day is a fire drill rather then working on progressive projects.

Not many get to work in a very progressive IT department that isn't 'needed' but 'desired' where IT gets to advance the business through integration and tools to give the company a competitive edge. Those are the more fun places to work at because the work is more rewarding.

Maintaining no one wants to do - the same goes for software developers :) Fixing isn't nearly as fun as building.
