On page 1 of this thread I had asked about Greek restuarants. We went to Mediterranean Breeze tonite - on Ashburn Road across from the fire station/Partlow's. It was GREAT. Not very crowded, excellent attentive service, kid friendly and delicious food. Will definitely go back!

We echo the review of Mediterranean Breeze. Went there a couple weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised, although the staff is still learning the ropes. The food was wonderful!

I wish I could say the same. A co-worker and I went there for lunch about a month ago and while the food was OK, it was nothing you couldn't get anywhere else. :( Service was fine, tho.

My wife has a wheat allergy ... she gets violently ill with cramps and other gastrointestinal distress if she eats anything with even a 'hint' of wheat glutens.

We've eaten at the Mediterranean Breeze without a problem. They cook from 'scratch' and to order. She's able to enjoy a meal without having to worry about whether or not she will be sick later in the evening.

Having lived in Greece for a year and a half, I can vouch for the authenticity of their food. Even their gyro sandwiches taste like they are made fresh, not a commercial blend of meats. I tried one today just to check it out, having been disappointed by many of the other places that serve gyros. After biting into the gyro, I felt like I was back at my favorite taverna, as it tasted just as I remembered it, not overspiced as many of the gyros I've tried in the states.

I've also tried their Italian dishes, as I'm of Italian descent. I usually rate a restaurant on their treatment of Veal Parmesan, I give Mediterranean Breeze a 'thumbs up' on this dish also. Nice rosettes of veal, lightly fried, covered in a very light tomato sauce, with al-dente pasta on the side.

    :D

Another great place for burgers, although it is a little further than 10 miles away, is Chammps in Reston. They have delicious (and huge) burgers. Mmmmm...burgers.....

Gyros at Knossos in Leesburg are the best you'll find around. Treviso's in Ashburn Farm has decent ones as well.

I'd have to say that Blue Ridge is my favorite place to eat. The environment is great, it's kid friendly, but best of all.... there filet mignon just might top Ruth Chris'. Slicin' like butter ! Mmmm.

I've found Wegman's prime filet some of the best I've ever eaten, restaurant or not...I can't speak about the non-prime cut, tho.

What about the OTHER pizza place (by the Safeway). I feel like they've been working on that forever. It's kind of funny that the newer pizza place will open earlier...

Last time I peeked into the new pizza place by the Safeway (about 1-2 weeks ago), the inside was still in shambles and it looked like they were finally almost done building the brick oven. Everything else in there looked like a construction area in disarray...

I just went to Los Toltecos for lunch...blech. I didn't like it at all and the service was horrible (there were only about 4 other tables in use, so it's not like they were busy). I'll stick to Rio Grande for my mexican food...

Anyone have the contact info for the new pizzeria, Corner Pizza? Is that what it's called, behind Circle K?
