I work in Herndon and with the exception of Mortons, they are all within 10 miles, barely. :)

pdonna - you may want to check out Partlow's. They have a pretty good catering menu and they are out to please.

I haven't personally tried them, but I've heard from several folks that the burgers at the Old Dominon Brewery in Ashburn are fantastic! My son goes there a lot with his friends.

OD Brew Pub has some interesting sandwiches, and a good burger. Pretty fair chili too. Oh, and then they have beer (heh).

Not a fan of Wegmans Asian buffet thing. I thought it was pricey and not as good as the local to-go place. The new one at Safeway is pretty good, actually - next to Weicherts.

Anyone tried the shushi/japanese place over there?

Quick comment on Red Robin...fair for food, but way too noisy to enjoy a meal out...

    I second the Wegmans...

Not very good and pricey!!! It is priced by the pound.

$25.00 for two dinners and two egg rolls.

Name a restaurant close by that would require a quick trip to a local hospital for a bad case of food poisoning.[xx(]

Venus (fly trap)Pizza in Herndon has to be on the list. Not to be out done by the China Buffet in Sterling.

I saw someone mentioned "Red Robin" as having good burgers. I agree, we used to hit the one in Fairfax, however, the one at Dulles is too darn noisy. I went there twice since it opened, both times coming out and reaching for the Advil!!

Has it gotten any quieter ??

Wow, great Thai restaurant right here in Ashburn. Over by the Shopper's Food Warehouse in Ashburn Farm. Great interior design, good food, good friendly service. Definately a scale up. Been open about 2 months, getting very bush on weekends, and evenings. They also have lunch specials. Check it out.

This is my first post and I have lived in the area for about one year now. My wife and I recently tried GG Café in historic Leesburg and were quite impressed. It’s a very small Italian restaurant with most of the seating on the second floor. Great food for a very reasonable price. It has a romantic feel to it and I am sure we would have enjoyed it more if we didn’t have our kids with us.

The GG Cafe IS great. Their salads and Rigatoni are excellent.

If you are looking for another GREAT restaurant in Leesburg, try the Blue Ridge Grill off of Route 15 North. The same guys that started Sweetwater, started this restaurant. We went there last weekend and were REALLY impressed!!!

Support these restaurants! Let's keep the non-chain restaurants in business otherwise we will all be eating at nothing but Mc-TGIf-Bennigans!! (not that there's anything wrong with that).

TechHead, I can't find Blue Ridge Grill on a google search to get an address and map.

Can you give me a hint?

It's in the old Leesburg Applebee's restaurant behind the Sheetz. Keep looking for it, it's well-worth it.
