Traffic Lights?

Obviously the year has something to do with it because I haven't seen anything being done there this week. Anyone else?? Grrrr.

 

Another worthless promise from these guys. What's the excuse this time? I'm guessing it's going to take a fatal accident to make it happen. So sad.

 

I contacted Snow's office AGAIN. They're going to find out who is doing the feet dragging and why. Hopefully I'll get a reply soon - I'll post when I do.

According to the most recent update I received, work will begin tomorrow (10/4). This is getting old and tiring. I hope this work gets started soon, or I may just lose my cool in my emails. [8D]

 

I am not sure why you think Snow will help.

He spends more time over in Herndon worrying about how Fairfax Co Govt is dealing with day labor sites, than he does in the northern part of his district.

 

afgm, the topic of this thread is traffic lights in Broadlands. Not day labor sites and not Ashburn Farm issues. I am a Broadlands resident and I will contact who I wish to see that this matter gets taken care of.

This may be a day labor issue. We should get some of them to come out here and put the light up.

 

AFGM, it appears you are once again a bit behind the news. The Herndon day labor hearing was more than a month ago, but as it is part of the Blackout campaign I guess you can stretch and apply it here.

Re Balckout: I saw a letter from Eileen Levandoski in the Extra, saying she lived in Purcellville. When she actually lived here (as opposed to Va Beach, according to the lcdems web) she was alternately credited Pville and Hillsboro, depending on the issue. Has she moved back, or did she just submit to the Post's new editor from cyberspace with an old credit?]

Given the federal interest in removing lanes from rte 50 via the bogus rte 50 traffic "calming", perhaps VDOT is a bit idgy on local issues. Stay on top of Snow's office, and they will give you whatever the current state and federal line is. Which they cannot control, only relay...

I just sat in traffic again backed up to the Greenway this evening. They are making great progress on the light - NOT!!!

 

I hope to have another update early tomorrow and I'll post it.

 

I emailed Steve Snow on Sep 22 concerning the lack of progress on the light and soliciting his help. To date, I have not received any response from him even indicating he received my email! This is getting very frustrating especially as I continue to see other lights going in at significantly less traveled intersections around Ashburn.

 

My guess is he will get to your inquiry soon. He's busy with some intersection way out in the other side of the County. I am surprised Mike H didn't respond, he's usually on top of our concerns more than SS.

 

Does anybody know if there are any plans to install a light at the West-bound Greenway exit onto Claiborne? Making a left there at evening rush is extremely dangerous.

 

That's Greenway property and/or VDOTs ... If I could hazard a guess right now, I don't think so.
