Yes, I happen to enjoy smelling nice (and I like my house to smell nice too).... Boomer you have to admit that you like it when I smell nice ;)

Besides if you had it your way you still wouldn't shower but once every other day, your white clothes would still be blue, the house would smell like trash and you'd have two dozen super big gulps overflowing with mold (that clogs the sink when you dump it down the drain!!!) :eww:

Thank God for women and their obsession for smelly stuff!

Okay, that made me laugh out loud, Boomer.
Yes, and we can give all the gambling proceeds to the schools. Uh huh :)

I think a casino would be great, oh and an "gentelmens" club too. That would do well. :devil2: And a 24 hour drive through liquor store:devil2:

Existing alleys are struggling as it is. I know it is a wish list but the area could not support another alley.

There's been talk of a bowling alley in Ashburn. Don't know the current status - the first location I heard didn't work out. But I think a group is still looking.

Although I wouldnt want a track near here, I am personally not too worried about the carbon footprint stuff...plus maybe the hybrid thing is a quick fix now, but what happens to all those batteries in a few years when they start wearing out? That stuff isn't too green friendly. I probably drive some of the most fuel inefficient vehicles around.

That's an understatement. Wait until next year, the first real production hybrids, Prius's will start seeing batteries that need replacement. They started in 2003, so 5 year life span on moderate use for those cars. Those batteries are big, have a lot of lead and other toxic stuff in them. And yes while they are "recyclable" it takes a lot of energy and resources to do that. Hybrids are like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound. Use less, and make better decisions on energy usage. Much better approach for the long run.

Oh and to stay on subject, Ashburn needs a laundry mat. I occasionally like to take our big blankets and comforters to get washed at the one in Leesburg. Unless there is one around here I don't know about.

    and

    http://www.hybridcars.com/battery-toxicity.html

    and

"A hybrid is still your best choice if you're among the millions of folks doomed to compulsory car ownership by clueless local governments that don't support efficient mass transit and by a Congress bought off by oil, auto, and roadbuilding tycoons. Hybrid cars use nickel metal hydride batteries, which are less hazardous than the common lead-acid type. Toyota already has a recycling program for the batteries in its Prius hybrids, but since company testing shows the power packs can last for 180,000 miles, the recyclers may be twiddling their thumbs for a while."

What we really need is a gun shop and shooting range (indoor). It would be awesome to find a place to do where we could go (or take the kids) for target practice without having to leave the community. We normally go to Blue Ridge in Chantilly, but having something close would be sweet!
