Hello! We are new to the Broadlands area, and I would like some information about Gymnastics teams in the area. Does anyone know about the program at Capital Gymnastics? She was on a compeditive team in Ohio, and would be level 4.

I am also looking for a gym for my daughter who is 7. She did Little Gym last year but is interested in stepping it up a notch this year - nothing competitive but just a little bit more instruction than Little Gym. I was leaning towards Capital Gymnastics - does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

Capital has a pre team for kids ages 5 to 8. They practice at the same time as the level 4 competitive team but for only 2 hours twice a week. It is definatly a step up from lessons but not as intense as competition. If you are not sure what your daughter wants to do later on I highly recomend trying Capital out. Not a lot of preasure but a lot of attention to detail for expanding upon later. The pre team is by invite only so I would contact them for a tryout and see what they recomend. Tish would be the coach.
Just FYI the gym is closed right now for vacation until Sept 4th. But give them a call and they will get back in touch with you to scedule a screening, it just will not be for a week or two until you hear from them.

I'm looking to sign up my five year old for instructional classes, not for a team. Would you recommend Capital over Apex?
    Thanks.

What about a 10 year old boy who has never done gymnastics before but has recently expressed an interest. Do they have beginner classes at that age, and are there boys involved? And if someone doesn't mind sharing, what am I looking at as far as cost?

    Thanks for any input.

Capital has beginner classes for all ages (I can't speak about the other gyms in the area) and I know that they specifically have an all boys class. In the past the boys class has had kids age 5 and up but most of the time the kids I have seen would have been around 7 to 8 but I have seen much older.
If I remember the cost it was something like $116 for an 8 week session.
I am sure if you call them they will let you come in and try a classes out before you sign up (I think there may be a small fee associated with it like $5)

Since I don't know you may want to call the other 2 gyms in the area too to inquire. You have Loudoun gymnastics in Sterling and Apex in Leesburg besides Capital

I do not have any actual experiece with Apex just what I hear from others. I have really enjoyed being at Capital and have had all 3 of my girls there at one time or another.
I tried to do classes at Apex but was put on a wiat list that was so long it took almost 6 months until they had a class available and then it was not at a time I could do. I found Capital while waiting to hear back and have loved being there ever since.
