Off topic, but Mr Rogers, for what it's worth, long ago I also was able to put two and two together to figure out both of your identities. I didn't realize it was supposed to be a big secret since you said enough to make it pretty clear. (Your garbage can statement in your signature line being the most obvious to me.) I'm just suggesting that maybe you shouldn't be so angry at the pea. Perhaps she didn't realize you were trying to hide it.

For what it's worth, I didn't know (and still don't) what PGA was. My first impression was you were a golfer. Seriously.

Mr. Rogers, if you actually believe someone can remain 'anonymous' on the Internet these days, you're in for a unpleasant surprise. The only effective way to remain anonymous on the Internet, is to never use it. The more you use the Internet, the more you leave tracks, clues, etc. As you have now learned, over time, it becomes easier and easier to drill down to the identity of a user. Writing styles, similarities in regards to 'touchy subjects', punctuation, etc, are all small clues which, when put together as part of a bigger picture, enable folks to solve the puzzle.

Maybe if you made your 'statements' a tad less inflammatory, folks wouldn't feel the need to point a finger your way. In my personal opinion, you, and you only, are to blame for your actions, and for their repercussions. If your career can be affected by what you state in public forums, then maybe you shouldn't be putting your career at risk. Nobody forced you to type on your keyboard; you made that decision.

    Mr. Linux,

I disagree with you a little bit. Yes it may have been discernable to those who really frequent these forums, but to most, who only view these forums occasionally, I think they would never know.

My next point kind of contradicts the original statement. He was posting a lot of the same viewpoints with the same language and font changes. So maybe he wasn't going super undercover. But to many who did not know the previous ID, because they recently joined the forum or weren't as observant, they would never know what he did. If Mr. Rogers had a post disagreeable to someone, they still might have hired his company to cater their event (or whatever he does). But if they knew that had violently disagreed with him they might not have hired his company.

I am pretty sure the only reason he started posting under a new ID was because he did not want mix his job with his posts here. So I think it is a bit of a low blow to openly out his previous identity, just as it was a bit odd when someone posted Donna's complete "rallying the troops" letter she meant it for people on her side.

I hope you admins would let Mr. Rogers get a new ID. If he does put latin axioms, large bold fonts, or notes about garbage cans in his signature, most will never know it is the same person.

Maybe I am biased because I have agreed with him on many things.

I try to stay anonymous on this forum and would hope if anyone knows exactly who I am, they would not post it.

    Thanks

Nova Native good luck in being anonymous with all these high tech snoops around here. ha ha ha

This forum is almost entirely biased to the pro hospital side and will stoop to almost anything if you disagree with them. ;) Cliff goes at times after peoples character especially mine yet the moderators love him. :devil2: I am tough so it does not bother me and I think there is enough said about this hospital on both sides that if it does not become what people say and grows far beyond it's original vision that brings back in all the things they left out in the original application. Hospitals grow and grow and grow and grow and no one stops them from growing hardly ever even far beyond what they call their final build out. And no one will stop them. Take a look at all the hospitals expanding in this country. it is endless growth.

And where will this hospital grow right straight to broadlands blvd because they can't grow any other direction. So it is all a game in the beginning make everyone happy to get the original approval then bam it never stops growing. I have found on these forums character assassination when you don't agree and then the apologies after the damage is done or even no apology they say it is your own fault for posting.

I do agree the forums are not for the weak of heart.

And this may be the only major tax increase this bos will see and actually it may be not even an increase after we lose some business because of the 19% increase in the tax rate when fairfax is only .89 and we are 1.14 What that says LOudoun is closed for business and stay closer to dc with even a better tax rate. We have new see thru buildings popping up all over. The Quiznos by the skating rink owner told me his rent is going up because of this tax increase and he may have to move out. How many times is that going to be repeated????? So they better get this hospital up quick to make up for all the taxes they are going to lose. They said in the paper today they can build it in a year and a half to two years after approval which should take about 4 to six months if it is not rushed thru the system as promised.

thepea knew better..."outing" this person was obviously intentional but we've yet to see a public apology from her. I think this action speaks loudly of character.

mr roger's own written history made it pretty easy for little old me to link his former user id. The forums have an archive feature where you can search users post and if you lool close enough he had put up his own name, telephone # etc. So I should aplologize for what he wrote??? :pofl:
Hmmm... who is instigating now? Hi my name is pot have you met KT..I meant kettle lately?

So if someone changes there forum ID for less than nefarious reasons, they should be outed if someone can clearly tell what their ID used to be after careful analysis?

Exactly how long will it take? You say that once it is approved (no timeline for that) it will take 4 or even 5 years. Now you're posting something that says it could be done in less than 2 years.

    The latest press release:

    BRMC Zoning Application Resubmitted
[FONT=verdana, arial] HCA Virginia today re-applied for zoning approval to build Broadlands Regional Medical Center (BRMC). The application, which was submitted to the Loudoun County Planning Department, reflects the organization's ongoing efforts to build the 164-bed hospital at the intersection of Belmont Ridge Road (Route 659) and the Dulles Greenway in Ashburn.
"Broadlands Regional Medical Center will improve the quality of life for all Loudoun residents who lack convenient and practical access to a full-service hospital," said Margaret Lewis, President of HCA's Reston-based Capital Division. "Throughout the application process, we will be fully cooperating with county officials so that they have the information they need to give our request a fair and full review."
Citing Loudoun County's explosive population growth and a clear need for more hospital beds, Virginia's Department of Health approved a Certificate of Public Need (COPN) for BRMC in March 2004. The county has only 0.62 hospital beds per thousand residents, compared to 1.33 beds per thousand residents for Northern Virginia as a region and 3.01 beds per thousand residents for the entire U.S. By choice or necessity, one of every two Loudoun residents who need inpatient care receive it at a hospital outside of the county.
"The county's need for BRMC was undeniable when a COPN was approved four years ago," said Lewis. "Since then, Loudoun has added an estimated 50,000 residents, and its growth continues. The time to build BRMC is now, and the best location to build it in is Ashburn."
The new BRMC application is unchanged in any material way from the first, submitted to the county in 2005. It calls for the construction of a hospital with 475,000 square feet and 164 beds. The 58-acre campus, which is located in an area of dense population and rapid growth, has been designed in a manner sensitive to the surrounding neighborhood. Those design features include:
    • A dedicated ambulance entrance from Route 659/Belmont Ridge Road to direct emergency vehicles away from Broadlands Boulevard. (There are no plans to have a helipad at the hospital.)
    • Substantial improvements valued at more than $11 million to Route 659/Belmont Ridge Road, a major artery that connects Route 50 to the Dulles Greenway.
    • Extra landscaping and an extended buffer zone around the hospital.
    • Four acres reserved for community use under the direction of the Broadlands Homeowners' Association.
    • Walking and running trails that are linked to the existing Broadlands trail system.
    • Numerous environmentally conscious features such as efficient water fixtures, energy-reducing mechanical systems, specially tinted windows, downward-focused exterior lighting, and public transit accessibility.
    • In addition, steps are being taken to have BRMC's campus designated as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

Among BRMC's 164 total beds will be 12 obstetrical beds, 16 intensive care beds, and 40 child/adolescent psychiatric beds. It will feature a full-service, 24/7 Emergency Room, seven operating rooms, and a cardiac catheterization lab.

For more information about BRMC visit our website at www.broadlandsrmc.com

Oh, and Lee, I don't need to go after your character.......it speaks for itself.

You got that right. I laughed out loud when I read Lee's comment about you going after his character--his attacks on your character on these forums are as bad as I've seen from ANYONE, and that really is saying a lot (all the while telling you he's your "good buddy"!).

    What a joke.

    Mr Rogers-
I don't understand why you are so upset. As I recall, you had openly discussed your change in ID names a while back. I didn't see this as anything new.
I hope this won't cause you to leave the Forums.
We disagree on a lot but I consider you a fair "sparring partner" on issues.
