AOL Users - Do NOT tag forum emails as SPAM

Users are tagging automatically generated emails from the Broadlands forum as spam in their AOL mail clients. AOL uses these complaints to decide who they block access to, regardless of the legitiamcy of the actual emails.

This means the activity of one user can affect the ability of all other AOL users from receiving legit email from the Broadlands forum.

The forum is configured to automatically email you when someone replies to a thread you have posted in. This is allow users to know when the discussion is active.

If you do not wish to receive emails from the forum, you can configure this via the User Control Panel.

Click on UserCP in the title bar of the forum page
Click on Edit Options in the left panel
Set your preferences (including Default Subscription Mode which set if you want email updates on threads you subscribe or post to)

Users who continue to tag our email as spam will have their accounts suspended until they acknowledge their choice in settings and stop tagging our email as spam. Any user who continually tags our email as spam past being contacted on how to configure their settings will have their account removed. We simply can not risk having our access blocked to AOL because some users ignore their settings.
