Broadlands Egg Hunt Sunday April 10 4pm

COME OUT TO THE ANNUAL EGG HUNT SUNDAY APRIL 10, 2010!
A hunt for families of all beliefs, led by Peter Cottontail, will begin at 4pm by the Community Center parking lot. Follow Peter Cottontail under the tunnel to Hillside Park where there will be lots of eggs for boys and girls. There will be an age 3 and under section, an age 4-7 section, and a special scavenger hunt for the rest of 'em!! The age 8 and ups will be divided into teams to hunt for a list of items at Hillside Park- teens are welcome and encouraged to come! The 8 and ups must be present at 4pm for sign-up, and every team that completes their mission will win a prize. After the hunt we will play croquet, do The Bunny Hop, and picnic on the Hill. Be sure to bring a blanket and/or chairs to enjoy an afternoon of neighborhood socializing at Hillside Park ! Handmade Orangina refreshments will be created for us by Joe Knows Real Estate.
The Bunny will be available for your own spontaneous action photos after all of the eggs have been collected. So don’t forget to bring your camera!
In the event of bad weather, the Bunny will have a seat in the Community Center at 4pm to have photos taken, visit with the children and hand out eggs.

Thanks for doing an awesome job...Cannot believe how FAST the eggs got snapped up. Talk about FASTTTTTT! In two minutes, all the eggs were snapped up! That was unbelievable. We all appreciate your time and efforts in this event. Many thanks on behalf of my family and I. We enjoyed it.

 

Thanks! Thank you to the volunteers that come out each year for this event, and the ones that came to help out for the first time!
It was a bigger turnout than ever on a really pretty day. Next year we will have more eggs to pass out like the halloween parade. We'll still do the egg hunt, but we'll follow up with a parade to be sure the little ones get a full basket I'll probably need more help to do it that way, so if you are interested, shoot me an email and I'll keep you in queue for next year!
Super duper thanks to my mom and brother Beth & Joe Doman at Joe Knows Real Estate for handing out fun orange refreshments in super color changing cups. They are always the ones my kids want their drinks out of at home!! I am always dragging them out to help me with events (not that I have to- they are always willing to help and have some fun!). Loads of thanks also to my Junior Girl Scout Troop 4879 for cleaning up the entire event!! What a good sweet bunch of girls they are. They also ran the scavenger hunt!!!!
Our bunny outgrew the suit this year (lol!) so his faithful aide stood in for him!! Thanks so much to those 2 great teens- they are awesome young members of the community and I'm so lucky to also have them as neighbors/babysitters/dog walkers
