dulles Greenway court date

Just had my day in court brought to me by Dulles Greenway and Terry Hoffman. Was the last one up and had all counts dropped. It seems there are 3 systems in play from who regeisters if you paid your toll to who issues the citations and who takes your calls if you are disputing a violation. The judge had 3 violations and Terry had 2 but different ones than the judge. The ones the judge had were disputed and removed and the ones Terry had were never sent out. If you do have a citation for court make sure to check your citation numbers to want Terry has and the Judge.
They already screw us out of $3.20 and now they want more for their own mistakes.

 

Background please! What happened, you get a ticket for blowing the toll even though you have a smart tag? Who is Terry and why is he/she on the same level as a judge?

I stopped taking the Greedway since Xmas and I love it.

 

You have missed the whole point of the thread. Yes I got a citation. Called Called the dispute hotline, gave them my transpoder number and the citation was voided. Then I get a court for failure to pay citation and went to court. Terry heads up the citation side. The citations that were given to the judge were voided 3 months earlier and Terry had 2 more that were never sent out. My point being is their system is a mess and to question and have them validate every citation as they could be a mistake.

 

I'm not surprised. They cried to Richmond that they weren't making any money yet they routinely repave where it isnt needed. That road is mismanaged and this is just another symptom.

 

I totally agree with you. Someone is making a killing on the Greenway tolls. I calculated that my husband and I spend almost $12 a day (combined, nearly $240 a month) to take the Greenway.

In addition we have also had issues with our transponders not posting funds, b/c "their dbase was off-line so funds were not posting to accounts". Sounds a little fishy to me, it cost so much to use the Greenway, we kind of expect 4 star service, but end up getting much less...sorry for the rant - ...it's just frustrating to spend all that money on a monthly basis...guess we should get up a little earlier and take waxpool to 28.
