I live on MiddleRidge Place, based upon the facts and non-emotional feelings, I'm for the Hospital and I live close. The footprint is better than the office complex footprint. Some say, but with a 40% vacancy rate on offices, the land will stay undeveloped. I think that's wishful thinking. Some say the office is a 9 to 5, five days a week. I have not found a 9 to 5 job yet but less traffic than the Hospital, just a lot at 9 and 5.

From the first day, I said, if you want to stop the development , then buy the land, otherwise work with them and make it the best hospital campus in the US. If you want to work with the hospital after the battle was lost, you burnt your bridge don't expect a lot.

My last statement, is we the residents, need to stop attacking the volunteers that are researching issues identified, just because we don't like the answer - nice job Board Members.

This post has a lot of wisdom in it. Reality is little can be done to change whether a hospital is coming or not. Even if we did have a say, there is a split in the community on whether the hospital is a good thing or a bad thing.

Efforts should be focused on real concerns about the new addition to the neighborhood, i.e. traffic patterns, landscaping, hours of operation, services offered, architectural continuity, etc. These are things we can have a real impact on.

If we start looking at this in a positive light, a cooperative new neighbor can become part of the community. Otherwise, we will end up with an adversarial relationship with little chance for cooperation.
