Dear Neighbors: Are we the only ones? We had not heard one peep from Open Band in over six months. Not an email. Not a snail mail. Nothing. Then we heard from a collection agency that Open Band had submitted our delinquent account for action. We called Open Band right away [now owned by M.C.Dean?] and they said that we had charges outstanding for cable from April and May. We asked when they had sent out any type of notice? Bottom line we paid them about $500 but just thought it was one last sour note from a whole sour period. Are we the only ones?

Cable or cable equipment? Are you an owner of a rental where maybe a tenant would have received those notices? You are the first I have heard, but that does not mean there are not others. Did you cancel your service(s) as soon as you started any of these services with a new provider?

$500 sounds like an awful lot.

I know for a time they were demanding all of their boxes back, but then they sent something else out that they did not want them back. If you never got a letter directly from them saying they did not want their box back, then I would say they wanted their boxes back from you.

We are the owner/occupant. In theory, we did not cancel in time, I guess.
It had nothing to do with the equipment.
My complaint is that we heard nothing for six months then got a notice from a collection agency. Open Band literally knows where we live.
Oh, well, again, one more sour note to the whole sour Open Band debacle.
