There are so many reasons to not have a lawn, yet we persist. We are a people addicted to yards of green grass, regardless of the cost, waste and total impracticality of the pursuit. They are really so illogical, why are we so attracted to them? (Aside from the fact that grass is welcoming to bare feet ... and croquet in a cactus garden might prove challenging, but still!)
