    FYI -

Directly after the Van Metre 5 mile race - they're going to feature different Ashburn restaurants at the Broadlands Marketplace for a "Taste of Broadlands". Haven't been able to find the specific restaurants featured but it still might be fun:)

    ...Or maybe not?

Was this the tent near Glory Days today? We went over there at 12:30 (the letter I got in the mail said 11 to 2), and there was just some fruit, and ice cream truck and a kiddie ride/moonbounce thing. Did we miss something?

We got there around 11:15 (had seen it advertised from 11-2 also) and there was the chinese restaurant, caribbean restaurant, Glory Days, a creole caterer (from Great Falls-he had the drinks) and HT ice cream. No sign of any of the other restaurants. Within 20 or so minutes, the chinese and caribbean restaurants were out of food and Glory days shut down by 12:30.

My husband walked down to American Flatbread to see if they were participating and was told that they had already been there and were done.

While I am all for free food, and the little one enjoyed the face painting and moonbounce, I was disappointed. I guess we should have planned to go right after the race ended. I felt bad for the Winc FM lady, because she was live on the radio at 12:30 touting the free food. I don't think she realized that everyone but HT ice cream and the creole caterer drink guy had packed it in by then.

someone back there woke me up at 3:30 the morning before running what sounded like a compressor--not sure if they were blowing up the moon bounce thing for some late night fun. I saw this place packed after the race.........at 9:30'ish....
