At approximately 4:30 am Tuesday morning, a Hispanic man entered our bedroom while we were sleeping and stood over me. Fortunately, no one was harmed. The person entered our home through the basement door. He pushed on the door and was able to gain entry. The bolt was not in place due to fire safety concerns. It is now. Unsure how long the person was in our home due to evidence that he spent some time on our couch. My mind is still going through the what-ifs. He was noticeably intoxicated and spoke some English. The police took him away. We back up to woods and there is a worksite near our home. Please double check your windows and doors. We are blessed that everyone involved is safe.

Glad everyone is ok. If you have any information on neighborhood, or if the police think they are linked to work site, that would be appreciated

In regards to the worksite, there seems to be no connection.

If you get any more information about the person and why they entered your home, please share. Very scary!
