My husband joined the Ashburn Area running club with a "family membership". Since I am not a runner, I have been going and walking while the runners run. Well, it seems that I am now going to be the leader of the walkers, under the umbrella of the area club---soooo I am drumming up fellow walkers. It is very informal, a come when you want type of thing. This is the schedule and info. We meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 behind Partlow's where the hike and bike trail crosses Ashburn Road. There is plenty of parking in the park there as well as Partlow's and the Old Furniture Mill Barn. We walk out for a mile and a half and return for a 3 mile round trip. It takes about an hour. Then on Saturday mornings at 7:30 we meet in the same spot but we do a 4 mile round trip which takes about an hour and twenty minutes. If you make all three sessions you have a 10 mile week. Which will usually yield a one pound weight loss in a week if you don't change your eating habits. If this facet of the club takes off with interested people, we will try to do some area Volksmarch events during the year.
I'll be there tomorrow night and Saturday Morning--May 3, and May 5 come if you can.

We are up to 5 interested ladies so far. I am there on the posted days and you won't have to walk alone.
