Can anyone share their opinions on accessing the web (via browser) and the other services such as Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, etc. via the differnet devices such as the WII or Google TV? I was interested in Google TV, but from the reviews I've seen there are many that feel it's not quite there and the services such as Netflix and web browsing is just as good or better on gaming platforms or Internet capable Blu Ray players.

I use a few streaming options in my house including a PS3 and WD Live. I haven't needed to wire up the Wii (and I prefer it not try to update itself from Nintendo :) so I keep it disconnected. The WD Live is a really nice option that can access Netflix, YouTube and the like pretty easily and is more reliable than the PS3. The problem with Google TV is they didn't grease the wheels of progress in advance so content providers are rushing to cut them off.

I think it's a little early on Google TV mostly due to lack of content:

But also, it's not exactly plug and play. Engadget has a fairly detailed review: http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/29/google-tv-review/

I have an Xbox360 and a PS3. The PS3 has an integrated web browser and I used it once, but it's far simpler to just use a laptop. I have my Netflix streaming on the 360 and it works flawlessly. No complicated setup, it just works. I don't have a Wii, but I've seen Netflix streaming on one and it seems to work pretty simply. However, keep in mind that the Wii only supports up to 480p, so if you want to do streaming to a HDTV, you could be giving up some picture quality.

Also, the Sony and Logitech boxes that you need for Google TV are fairly pricey and they're not far off from having the boxes integrated directly into TVs. I considered getting Google TV but ultimately decided it wasn't worth it.
