Broadlands Wildlife Habitats Committee has been carefully collecting Monarch butterfly eggs and caterpillars from the pollinator gardens created in our community. PDF: Butterfly Flyer 2017
Monarchs will be on display at the Broadlands Nature Center on the 14th, and the 15th of September during business hours, 21907 Claiborne Pkwy, Broadlands, VA 20148
Butterflies will be released on Sat., Sept., 16th at 3:00pm. If the weather condition is not ideal, the release will be on Sun., Sept. 17th, same time. The release will take place at the Native Plant Demonstration & Wildlife Habitat Garden located on the corner of Ridgeway Drive and Inglewood Court.

The Technology Committee meeting scheduled for Wed, 4/20 has been cancelled.
The next meeting is Wed, May 18 at 7:30 pm at the Nature Center.
20th ANNIVERSARY EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING ON TUESDAY

There will be an events committee meeting on Tuesday, July 22nd at the Community Center, 43004 Waxpool Road, at 7:30pm. If you are part of the committee, please plan on being there. Calling all volunteers to come out for the Events/Broadlands Live Committee Meeting at the Broadlands Community Center (43004 Waxpool Road) at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Are you interested in helping organize the Broadlands community events? Do you have an idea for a new event you’d like to see us host? Wanting to revamp any of the current events? Perhaps you are interested in music or fundraising. The committee welcomes all to attend and looks forward to hearing our residents great ideas and recommendations. We also need lots of help to produce our great neighborhood events. Light refreshments will be served.
It’s our 9th season and Flicks in the Sticks is presenting its final night of family entertainment for the 2013 season. Come join us for tonight’s showing of Wreck-It Ralph at approximately 8:15PM on the Nature Center lawn. Bring a picnic dinner – or pick up something from one of the great local restaurants – and stake out your spot on the lawn. Coolers, lawn chairs, and picnic blankets are welcome. Free popcorn and drinks are provided. This is a popular event, so come early for a good seat!
One lucky person will take home the DVD of tonight’s movie in a random drawing from all attendees. Tickets for the drawing are distributed before the movie starts. Drawing will be held immediately after the movie and winner must be present.
