Is anyone else having issues with some Verizon FIOS channels?

For the past few weeks, I have been getting a very distorted picture on some of the Verizon FIOS channels. Mainly the 504, 505, 507, and 509 local "over the air" channels. The higher numbered ESPN and Cable channels 570 and above are fine. Also, the non-HD "over the air" channels are usually fine too (4, 5, 7, and 9). I could not watch the football game on 504 in HD tonight because the picture was so bad.

Of course, I tried to get hold of Verizon customer service - but had no luck tonight. I was wondering if it was just my house, or others in Broadlands.

    Thanks.

What do you mean by distorted picture? Pixelated/freezes from time to time? If so, we had that a few weeks ago, in our case, it was happening on all TVs, so it wasn't specific to one TV box, it turned out to be the box on the outside of the house an Verizon replaced it for free since it was their hardware that was starting to fail.

Thanks for the insight. I will continue to try to get hold of Verizon and maybe they can come out and check mine.

I have been having the same issue. Started upstairs -- point furthest away from the router -- and Verizon sent me a new box after trouble shooting twice. Problem has gotten worse, now we are unable to get any channels. Issue has also started in the family room, but is sporadic. Sometimes HD is pixlated or just not working. I am now thinking the issue is a deteriorating signal, either from the node in our neighborhood our the box outside our house. Will call them again.

The final thing I did to get VZ to come out was plug a box/tv directly into the cable coming into the house, that ruled out all the in house wiring, etc. Calling them with that info cut to the chase of getting someone out, and the first thing the tech did when arriving was start testing that outside box. Ended up being a reasonable quick visit since it sent them straight to the problem.
