The Monthly Homeowner Assessments will change in 2019. Avoid incurring unnecessary fees by ensuring your payments reflect the proper amount prior to January 1, 2019:
    • Single Family (VDOT) $79.00 per month
    • Town Homes $93.00 per month
    • Single Family (Private) $99.00 per month
    • Villa Homes $111.00 per month
    • Courtyard Homes $142.00 per month
If you do not receive your Assessment coupons by December 15, 2018, please contact FirstService at 866-433-3187 or by email at AR.DCMetro@fsresidential.com. If you participate in ClickPay recurring payments (Auto Pay) through FirstService Residential, you will NOT receive a coupon booklet, and the 2019 assessments will be automatically deducted from your account.

PAYING ASSESSMENTS IS EASY: Use ClickPay to pay assessments online or to sign up for automatic payments. Please visit www.ClickPay.com/FirstService and create an account using the account number on the payment coupon. Please call 888-354-0135 (option 1) for assistance with ClickPay.

I've lived in Broadlands for almost 15 yrs now. I do not, and have never used the pool, the fitness center, the Nature center, or any any service besides trash and snow removal.
I'd like a discount on my HOA. No, you say. It doesn't work that way.
I'm getting more and more agitated by the whole internet/phone/tv mess created by the HOA. I had no problem with Openband but I had to pay them to end a contract?!?!
Fios sounds good but why will we be, collectively, charged more than a non-HOA resident for new services? The only 'perk' I saw in the deal was 'free' installation of equipment.
If the entire community HAS to pay for FIOS, why are we not getting a fantastic group rate?! https://www.verizon.com/home/bundles/fios/
I want free Netflix too! Why can't we choose for ourselves?

Please contact the Verizon Local Business Office
Your address appears to be part of a home owner's association that has a special agreement with Verizon. We are unable to place your order online, but our National Customer Service Center can help you with your order.
Please contact the National Customer Service Center at 800-501-1172. Representatives are available Monday through Friday (8am - 7pm EST) and Saturday (9am - 6pm EST).

I've never seen an option to vote for our community services. Enlighten me please!
NO, I'm not able to run for a community office. I want those who are elected to do right for the rest of us!

Sure thing shim! Personal logistics, or I would be gone.
I LOVED Broadlands when I 'ordered' my home. Very pastoral, compared to now. In theory, I STILL love the community. Lot of things have changed.

The HOA fees you quoted are for the Broadlands Homeowners Association and have NOTHING to do with the Openband/Verizon debacle. That would be the SouthernWalk Homeowners Assocition that only manages the telecomm contract and has there own fees. The entire community DOES NOT pay them. Only SouthernWalk.
As far as your Broadlands HOA fees, I hope you are enjoying the value these amenities that you never use bring to the value of your home. They add a lot, regardless of whether you use them.

I never quoted any fees for the HOA.
