    This contract is very broad in its clearance requirements from Secret to TS/SCI.

    Job Description#1: Network Provisioning Engineer to work in Fairfax, VA.


    A qualified candidate will work on a Network Provisioning team to transition, troubleshoot, modify and remove services within the production network, while controlling the risk of failure and disruption. He/she will act as the primary interface between design and operations, maintain the approved network configuration standard, minimize risk during provisioning changes, and provide accurate reliable documentation of all network services.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve outages and other problems during implementation with Cisco and Juniper routers, Cisco switches, Juniper firewalls, and out-of-band modems.
    - Administer configuration changes to Juniper and Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Juniper firewalls.
    - Perform documentation, verification and implementation of changes on a live production network.
    - Situational troubleshooting potentially requires the analysis of many network devices and data points.
    - The role also requires regular interaction with a number of standard and proprietary tools, which include communication, alerting documentation, automation and scripts.

    Required Qualifications:

    - Active/current Secret clearance is required.
    - Bachelor’s with 4-7 years experience required.
    - 4-6 years of operational network experience in a command-line oriented environment, working with LAN/WAN infrastructure and administration.
    - Understanding of the OSI model, with a focus on layer 1 through 3.
    - Understanding and working knowledge of network infrastructure including cabling, switching, routing, firewall functionality and services.
    - Understanding of routing protocols and the ability to troubleshoot routing issues, specifically MPLS, BGP and OSPF.
    - Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network outages and other network problem reports in urgent situations.
    - Excellent written and verbal communications skills in support of an enterprise network operation, in the English language.
    - Ability to be self-motivated with a desire to contribute to a team environment.
    - Candidate must be able to upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly

    Desired Qualifications:

    - TS SCI FSP Clearance is highly desired.
    - 6+ years operational network experience in a command-line oriented environment.
    - CISCO CCNA or CCIP certification.
    - Juniper JNCIA or JNCIP certification.


    Job Description #2: Lead Network Telecommunications Analyst to work in Fairfax, VA.

    With a wide range of knowledge, maintains and provides complex technical support at the Tier III level, testing and troubleshooting for a wide area network (WAN). This candidate should be able to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of both satellite communications and router based networks.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This individual will be responsible for Tier 3 troubleshooting and incident resolution on an international network. The individual will work closely with the network operations center, distant end, hub facilities and vendors to isolate the problems and provide a resolution.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    As an emerging expert, plans and coordinates implementation of switch cuts, forecasts, and special projects within the network. Automates statistical research and reports. Prepares, tests, implements and operates computer programs for modeling and simulation tolls. Performs future worth economic selection studies.

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

    Plans, tests, recommends, and implements network, file server, mainframe, and workstation hardware and software.
    Consults with users and evaluates requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analyses, plan projects, and coordinate tasks for installation of networks.
    Develops network performance criteria and measurement methods.
    Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
    Responsible for the planning and management of large network and telecommunications projects or significant segments of a large complex project.
    Analyzes and resolves technical problems for new and established networks.
    Provides network documentation, training, and guidance to computing system clients and programmers.
    Serves as technical specialist in network problems and emergencies.
    Troubleshoots and resolves complex network production problems.
    Conducts technical research on network upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system.
    Recommends network solutions for short-, medium-, and long-range network projects.
    Installs, configures and maintains network components.
    Determines plan layout for new hardware or modifications to existing layout.
    Installs, upgrades, and configures network printing, directory structures, user access, security, software, and file services.
    Establishes user profiles, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed.
    Works as a team member with other technical staff, such as systems to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
    Works with vendors to resolve complex network problems.
    Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
    Documents network problems and resolutions for future reference.
    Provides team leadership to less experience analyst.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Requires bachelor’s degree and seven to nine years of telecommunication analysis experience.
    This position requires a TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance.
    The individual should have expert-level knowledge of Juniper and Cisco equipment to include certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIE, etc.
    Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
    Must be able to work independently and draw on various resources to resolve problems.

    Desired Qualifications:

    Experience working on long-haul circuits.
