Anyone for Cricket?

I hope this one takes off soon and lot of people join to play cricket....


If you are all interested how this game is played, there is another way...

If you have access to espn360.com (live coverage), they show on-going international cricket tournament(Asia cup) live/replay. You can click on any match involving India, Pakistan or Sri Lanka....This particular tournament is little slower version of game (50 overs match, instead of 20 overs a match)...

BTW, if you have Verizon FIOS/DSL, you can access espn360.com for free and watch lots of live programs (including wimbledon, i mean the matches thats not shown on regular espn/espn2 channels...)

 

Hi guys. Sorry about the radio silence. I just responded to Nutria's PM. I am still working on getting some equip. I just found that there is a group of guys who practice on Wed & Thu evenings at Eagle Ridge. They are part of a league and so I'm not sure about our ability to join in w/ them. They are pretty good. I plan on checking in w/ them tonight. Will post findings.

In the meantime, if we can all look for equip or invite people who have it to join, I think we can get a pick up game going.

I can get a bat. It's good for a tennis ball. If anyone has got the stumps we will be all set or how about getting few pieces of wood from Home Depot and cutting it to the size of stumps

 

How did it go go golfersrd? any chance they would let us come along and practice with them a little?

Can you bring your bat w/ you tomorrow? I will bring a tennis ball and possibly even a bat. We can meet at Hillside Elem @ 9:30 AM tomorrow (7/12). "Nutria" may be there as well.

 

Sorry guys, I didn't get a chance to look here until this morning. Did you get together on Saturday? Maybe we should just try to get anyone who is interested along next Saturday at the ball field? That way we can decide what we will do even if we don't have enough kit to play a bit.

I am interested. I can bowl and bat. But it has been a while though.

Guys:

I think we have a few people (4-5) so lets just go out there and start. More will join once word gets around. Lets kick it off this Sunday (7/20) at 2:00pm at Hillside Elementary. We can agree on a time when we meet. Pls get whatever equip you can get your arms around. You n also bring in non-Broadlanders if interested.

 

I'll be there tomorrow. All I have left of my old gear is a shirt, but I'll see if I can find someone with at least a bat.

 

I can't/won't play cricket, but I would be interested in watching.

 

I have no clue how to even play that game.
