I am flipping out because I think we may have bed bugs.

Has anyone had this awful experience? Any suggestions of what I should do or which pest control company is good to turn to that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

Any suggestions would be so appreciated!!

Can't recommend a company to help you, but I would suggest changing the bed sheets and vacuuming them up in the tight spaces between your mattress and boxspring and also where the bed may be pushed up against the wall (this is where they typically reside during the day so as to be out of sight). They have flat shaped bodies so they can get into very tight quarters. This might help reduce the population until you can obtain professional assistance. Hope you are rid of them quickly!

Dry vapor kills the bugs and their eggs. No toxins and you can buy your own machine probably for the cost of an exterminator. The Ladybug comes to mind.

Sounds like you travel a lot or you have house cleaners who brought them in an infested vacuum. Or, did you bring in used upholstery furniture recently? The fact that you found them probably means you have had them for a while and may have an infestation. Good luck!

Here's a way to test how bad the infestation is http://www.continentalcarbonic.com/get-rid-of-bed-bugs.html
