To the multiple and rather inconsiderate neighbors in the 43000 block of Pallan & the 22000 block of Dillworth, your barking dogs at all hours of the night, is rude and disrespectful. We can hear your dogs on Ridgeway.

That yappy little annoying bark which sets off a concert from other dogs in that town house area, this crap has been going on for months and
    I am D O N E.

You wouldn't or couldn't answer the doors when I banged on them a few minutes ago, next time I am calling the Sheriff's office & Animal Control.

This is 3 FREAKING HOURS of your dog's yappy barking, be respectful

My husband very nicely got someone to take their barking h*ll hound inside. He went over, knocked on the door and asked if everything was alright over there. When the owner replied "Yes", my husband said something like "good, because your dog has been barking loudly for a long time. Dogs know when their owners are hurt and we thought he was trying to get help or something." Worked for a while!

Allie - That's a great idea, if the TH owner on Pallan ever answers the door I will give it a try.

This past Saturday night at 12AM I had enough, I walked over to ensure I had the proper address on Pallan/Avonworth and then I called the Sherriff's office & Animal control.

While I was speaking with the non-emergency dispatch, I was on our patio and they where shocked at the volume of this dog's barking accross the 4 lanes of Claiborne.

WOW - that concerns me....dogs bark for a reason....hope everything is ok with the family who lives there AND the dogs. I agree, there is nothing worse than the constant barking of dogs!

These particular neighbors (on Pallan) have a habit of leaving their black lab on the deck for hours, plus their deck is pretty close to the pathway on Claiborne, so anyone walking on the path seems to set off this dog.

They don't all bark for a reason - I've heard of one that barks in response to the echo of its own barks, bouncing off the nearby houses. Just sayin'.

Dogs always bark for a reason. The reason may not always be apparent to the human.

Dogs sometimes bark when they are lonely, stressed, fearful, frustrated.....etc.

This does not at all excuse the dog owners from their responsibilities though. The owners, not the neighbours, need to find out what is up with the dog and take care of it.

Like most issues with dogs, the blame often rests on the other end of the leash.

sometimes dogs bark just to hear themselves bark. you can't automatically attach human emotions to animal behavior, like people who talk just to talk having issues like you mentioned above... in reality- there simply isn't necessarily a pyschosis or problem causing a dog to bark.

Dogs do barK for no reason. I work with them daily. Some do it as a form of recreation.

Humans bark on these boards much like dogs do. Some bark in the form of rants about dogs barking, others bark just to hear themselves bark. I'm the latter, I guess. Woof.

Then, perhaps you pose more of a threat to the neighborhood than barking dogs.
