More of a threat? Sure. More of an annoyance and nuisance? Not even close.

Such a mature response from you. :screwy:

I am posting on our community forum (of which I reside) about an ongoing noise & nuisance issue that affects me and more than likely affects others within the community. Loudoun County DOES have a noise ordinance and barking dogs past 11PM violates this. If being a considerate and law abiding neighbor is a threat, then get over yourself.

What exactly is your excuse or purpose? To date and based on the history of your posts I have yet to find a logical answer, other than you like to troll this forum and stir up trouble, all for your own sophomoric amusement. How sad.

You did say you bite. I'd rather have a dog bark than a neighbor that would bite me. I'm just saying.

My "bite" comment was metaphoric, not literal, duh?

My bite was calling the Sheriff's office & Animal control at 12AM to report the offending dog(s) on Pallan.

Bay since you live 3,000 miles from our nieghborhood and you continue to TROLL this community/HOA forum..."I'm just saying"

Over 1200 posts is not a troll. He has also attended more HHs than most. ;)

No, not a troll at all IMHO.

I think some times people don't come off in these forums as they really are in person. I'm sure pea is very nice in reality.

I've said many times to the admins that if they feel that I shouldn't be allowed to post, I would respect that decision. With that being said, I am far from being a troll. You just don't agree with my posts. I knew what you meant, but apparently you didn't catch my sarcasm. Next time I'll be sure to sound the sarcasm alert so there is no misunderstanding. (please feel free to insert the needed amount of sarcasm).

Bay - You are correct, I didn't catch your sarcasm.

Maybe it's a carry over from our other 'heated' exchanges (such as your waterboarding remarks toward me on the political threads), but I should have taken the higher road and there is no excuse to my over reaction of calling you a troll. That said I am sorry for over reacting.

How mature was it to pound on your neighbor's door? Was that considerate? I do not think those words mean what you think they mean. And, how do you expect your neighbors to act mature and considerate when you seem to have trouble doing the same.

Instead of coming on to our community forum and asking if anyone else is having the same issue and looking for real solutions, you chose to come on and rant in a very public forum. What kind of logic or excuse is needed to respond to a rant? What's sad is you probably don't think pounding on someone's door is wrong. In Texas you could have been shot for doing as much. This could have been a much more constructive forum if you had approached it in a different manner. In this case, you reaped what you sowed. Woof.

here is the solution. we cannot control the rude and unneighborly behavior of those who truly do not care about their impact on those around them.

pea- since they won't respond to you- are you SURE they are home when the dog is going nuts...?-

I would put a nice yet firmly stated note in the mailbox explaining what impact they are having on your household and to please have respect and compassion for neighbors about this issue. it's non-confrontational, and some people respond better when they don't have to actually (GASP) speak to someone about an issue. sad, but true.

if they still refuse to respond, you are gonna have to simply continue complaining to the sherriff's office about the nuisance so a record is built. if other neighbors are bothered too, they should also complain to build a case that this is a REAL nuisance, not just one sensitive pea.

i am so sorry you are dealing with this- in our last home we had a disgusting neighbor whose home generated rats and stank to high heaven of rot and animal feces. a lien, fines and warnings from the hoa made no difference, and talking to him was pointless- he simply didn't care. he wasn't even a BAD guy- jut a filthy one.

it's not fair that others can effect our day to day lives with no repurcussions- and if anyone will find a resolution- it's YOU pea. now

    SIC EM! ;)

On the door please. Illegal to put anything other than approved USPS items (i.e. paid for) in anyones mailbox. You can be fined if caught.

You could, but in this case I know it is townhome that is the problem for Pea, and they do not have the miscellaneous box.

That's a fair question and my answer is: absolutely - in both cases they seemed to be home, lights on, loud music and laughter etc.

Several months ago I did leave a note on each door stating:

"You may not be aware, but I am asking you to please be mindful of the neighbors (I live off Ridgeway, a couple of blocks from your Townhouse section) and it would appreciated if you could bring your dog(s) in, especially after 12AM, due to the County Noise Ordinance."

I can tolerate 15-30 minutes of barking, but hours upon hours no way much less past midnight. So after 6+ months of this noise nuisances, I had enough and called the police & animal control last week.

Something sure worked because it has been a few weeks and guess what? I haven't heard or seen the dog on the deck anymore.
