Has anyone tried the new Boston's (www.bostons.com) at Goose Creek Village in the new section just built yet? We went the other night around 5 PM on a weeknight and it took quite a while to get the food (about an hour) even though the crowd didn't start picking up until after 5:30. Great menu choices and nice atmosphere inside, but as with most new restaurants service was very poor and the food came out cold as it seemed to have been sitting there waiting to be brought to us for a while. Reminiscent of the old Glory Days. Will certainly give them another chance after they've worked out the kinks in the kitchen and with the waiting staff, but was wondering if it was just a bad night to go or if others had a similar experience.

We went there last week and it was crowded enough we had to wait for a table. We really liked the food and there was a variety of choices at the table. One item came out wrong and they were very apologetic and quick to fix it. We're going back again.

We tried it for the first time on Thursday evening. Food was pretty good. Service was better than average. The menus and table cards all screamed of "corporate chain restaurant" and made me feel like I was in another Chilis or TGI Fridays reincarnation. The corporate feel was a turn-off for me, but I was very pleased with the food and the service.

We went Friday night at around 6pm and were seated right away. The pizza was good but not great, and it was not hot when it arrived at the table. I stopped a manager type guy and he apologized and took it back to the kitchen to warm it back up. The burger was excellent and a good value for the money; in fact, I think it was a better overall value than Red Robin. Inexpensive beers compared to other Ashburn joints (e.g., Blue Moon: 16 oz. for $4 and 23 oz. for $5). Waitstaff was friendly but slow and disorganized; we were ignored for most of the evening. We will give it another try, but they will have to up their game.

Boston's in Goose Creek is actually Better than it's parent company in my opinion. Boston Pizza or "BP" as they are called... was started in Edmonton, Alberta where we just returned from living for two years. BP is sort of like the Applebee's of western Canada. It is frequently the first or only restaurant to open in an area that has just gotten big enough for a "corporate chain" to even notice. I rarely went it Canada as it was just so mediocre (much like Applebees). They named their US operation Boston's... but it is basically the same place. The slick menus and table cards are all a product of the corporate machine up in Canada. I just wish they'd brought the frozen alcoholic lemonade slushies with them! However, I've been to Boston's twice in goose creek and have not been dis-satisfied.

The wife and I ate there a couple of weeks ago. Actually, pretty darn good. Not impressed with their drink selection (beer, wine liquor…that is) but the food and service was really good. Service might have been awesome because we knew one of the servers from another venue. But the menu selection and food we ordered was pretty good. Liked the pizza, chicken parm, and the sliders. We'll be going back.

Hadn't been to Boston's in a while and went on Sunday for lunch and was surprised to see a nice crowd. Had another great experience there with the service and the food, really nice bar area with lots of tables/booths and large TVs. Also have a nice outdoor eating area outside of the bar. Would definitely recommend it for good food, good service, reasonable prices and a nice environment.

IT'S GOOD! several post baseball celebrations there in the bar- staff works very hard to get it right. great energy in the atmosphere- and if you want a bit quieter, hit the dining area away from the bar.

as lame as it sounds, i love their salads- balanced and satisfying with plenty of each topping. flatbreads are also solid choice. The Man really enjoys their wings. they are a great addition to the hood- hope people try them out and find some faves as we did!
