This forum is now open for advertisers of physically located businesses in the Loudoun County area only. Please keep your posts clean. No 'adult' content is allowed whatsoever. The Broadlands Technology Committee reserves the right to edit or remove any post for any reason. Please note this is NOT an advertiser forum for Internet-only based businesses unless you also have a physical shop/door/house open in the Loudoun County area that someone can go into or knock on the door at for the same business/service. Posts that do not make an effort to show that they are a physical shop/door/house open in the Loudoun County area can be deleted at any time.

The intent of the forum is to allow local business owners to announce themselves and their business and post relevant information about sales, specials, or events that would be of interest in the community. The goal of the forum is to invite business owners to be more active in personal communications with residents and promote community-specific benefits for residents from local businesses.

Businesses are encourages to use the forum to make announcements regarding their operations and sales or specials - especially any specific to the community itself. Businesses should not use the forum as a recurring means to publish their spiel, literature, or generic company marketing. Businesses interested in getting repeated, high volume exposures for their marketing efforts should contact the Broadlands Advertising Manager for advertising opportunities in our mailed newsletter and website opportunities.

The opportunity to use the forum for commercial advertising is extended solely for the purpose of encouraging communication between businesses and the residents. Referal services, 3rd party discount sites, 'posting this for my friend', or other advertising that does not come directly from the business themselves do not satisfy the intent of the Advertising forum and are not allowed.

Examples of encouraged use

• Announcing the opening of a new store
• Announcing the expansion of operating hours
• Announcing the expansion of your menu based on local feedback
• Announcing a new limited time offer for local residents
• Announcing a special for local residents

Examples of discouraged use

• Weekly/Daily/etc FAQs or Tips about your field
• Weekly/Daily recurring announcements of your standard specials
• Duplication of your standard advertising from normal media outlets
• Repeatedly starting new threads which offer no new information over existing threads
• Repeatedly 'bumping' an existing thread by replying without adding any new, relevant information

The Broadlands Technology Committee reserves the right to edit, consolidate, or remove any postings it determines to be against the forum rules or intent of the Advertisers Forum.

Also a reminder:

Do not use ALL CAPS IN YOUR THREAD TITLES. Misleading titles, or titles written in a way to 'fool' a user into reading the posting are strictly prohibited. Also multiple punctuation marks (!!!!!!!) are not allowed.
