Nature Center building closed through Mar 31st. HOA business will be conducted by phone or email...
Broadlands Association has been monitoring recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the pandemic of global coronavirus (COVID-19). It is our goal to slow the transmission of the virus and keep residents and staff safe and protected. With safety as a top priority, we feel the prudent thing to do is to cancel all events, including the St. Paddy’s Day Block Party and the Spring Eggstravaganza and close the Nature Center effective immediately through March 31, 2020. We are disappointed but feel this is a necessary precaution. READ MORE>>

Personally, I think that we're doing no service to anyone by letting playgrounds open and putting entire community at risk. People from outside the community are also driving to some of the play areas. Based on the current situation and different guidances being issued, can we, at least, put up signage in front of all the playing areas (specially tot lots) to refrain from having a crowd and hope that some sense prevails? There are enough people around to still think this as vacation to let kids mingle and we're failing in the duty. Think of the stress your actions will put on the healthcare system and others who are trying to fight for you.

Agree. Since school closed, the tot lot between Welby and Harvest Green is teeming with adults and their children - 16 total one day last week and they stayed there until it got dark.

The decision was made earlier today to close down all facilities. This information is posted in the most recent updates that went out late today. It will likely take a few days to get fencing and signage up, but it is in the works.
