Since we moved here about 3 years ago, we've liked Cafe Opera better than any of the other Asian restaurants we've tried. The last several times we 've ordered delivery, the portions have been smaller and the quality hasn't been the same.

After our order tonight, I called to complain and didn't get a very good response from the manager. Has anyone else noticed a falloff in quality and quantity of portions at Cafe Opera? Is it still the same owner?

I eat there fairly regularly (about twice a month) for lunch. I haven't noticed a change in quantity or quality. And I agree.....it's the best Asian food around. Hopefully your experience was an aberration and not the beginning of a trend.

Was just thinking the same thing....

We got takeout Friday night and the portions were considerably smaller than they have been.

I got the Thai delight and there were only 2 shrimp in the entire container along with 1 strip of beef.

I hope Cliff is right, because we got delivery this past week and I thought the same thing a little week on the shrimp and most of the mixed vegetables were mostly broccoli which I like but I also like a lot of variation. The portions also seemed weak. Hopefully it was just one of those weeks.

I also got takeout from anothai and it was perfect as usual.:)

We also stopped eating there. The last couple of take-outs, the food wasn't up to par, and our order was wrong both times.

My wife and I love Cafe Opera. We eat there every other week or more. The owners/managers are wonderful and if you have any complaints you should always make them known because they will work to fix them. They frequently replace suppliers etc... due to falling quality of the products. Take a moment to let them know if you weren't happy and what they can do. As for the quality we were there last week and thought that the food was amazing in fact we thought it had gotten slightly better. I will say that we never do take out, so I can't speak to that...

I agree. I have dined in and ordered take out. By far one of the best Asian restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.

still the best in town- they are consistently excellent in service and food quality. we did have one off experience- still good, but not their typical. that was months ago and since we've been back it was back to their regular standard of excellence!
