PVCV - sorry for the confusion but I was being generic because I did not have the documents handy when posting. I was referring, in general, to the documents we all received back around June 2015 during the transition of service and cancellation of the Openband contract. Both Openband and the SWHOA communicated to the homeowners. We all received e-mails and documents that explained what was happening. I am not claiming that it was enough information... but it was during that period that many questions and discussions took place covering the Exclusivity Easement purchase.

The big question I had at the time was to confirm that the SWHOA felt that they had the authority to make the decision on the purchase on their own.

And pvcv, please remember I am not on the SWHOA and do not have access to documents different from you (other than what I might see at a meeting because I am there). And yes, I do agree that homeowners should get clarity on what is being purchased. Keep asking and lets see what, if anything can be provided. Not sure if anything can be posted here... but the next meeting's Agenda is a little more obvious.

Thank you for the reply. We did receive those documents. I already talked to my husband about going to the next meeting to request a copy of the easement purchase be provided/posted for the homeowners to view for themselves. again...it's the only way we know what we're paying for and it might help to answer some of the questions being posed by others. Have a great day!

A Comcast contractor is digging up the easement along Wynridge Drive near Harris Teeter?

I think I'd have to sell my house if Comcast is our only option.

Openband is by far the better option. If this is what all of our money and time turns into that's extremely sad.

And FIOS is only a 1-2 blocks away since they provide service into the Village of Waxpool ... Plenty of options to consider once easement rights are addressed.
