Chemically straightened hair

    Has anyone ever gotten their hair chemically straightened? I am considering getting it done and want to go to a reputable salon as it can really ruin hair unless it's done correctly. Can anyone share their advice/experience?

    I had a Sunpure Brazilian treatment done at Salon 10 in Leesburg...it lasted about 4 months...I understand they have something new that I plan to try soon...wish I could embrace my curly hair, but it's just not "me"!

    Maureen, I got that shorter version of the Brazilian straightening. It only lasted a month, definitely not worth it.

    what kind of flat iron do u use? i love mine and would highly recommend it...if you get a really nice one, it can be a breeze to get through your hair quickly. i know you have a thick thick head of hair though...good luck!
