Coming soon to Ryan Park (between Giant and Panera) is Jake's Wayback Burgers.
weird- NEVER hear of this place before, then I see it's next to a hotel we're staying in in Raleigh NC and now here on the forum... I'm clearly being summoned to check this joint out and RATE THE BEEF. bring it!
Looks like a Johnny Rockets clone. I wish we still had Foster's Grille there, loved that place. Will be interesting to see if this place or Burger 21 opening in Loudoun Station will survive long.
Looks so so. I am a fan of BGR Burger and I liked Krazeburger.
Melt in Leesburg has the best burgers around.
Has anyone been since it opened? Reviews?
I don't think Jack's is all that good to be honest. Nothing special.
We went to Wayback this week. It was ok but I'd much rather go to Burger 21 or Burger Fi when looking for that kind of food. Foster's was better. Even Five Guys is better in my opinion. It wasn't bad… but as said above, nothing special.
tried wayback last night. they need better ventilation, all you smelled was old grease instead of fresh cooked burgers. VERY good quality meat in these hand pounded patties, burgers were a solid 7 on a scale of 1-10. I would crave a wayback like i crave a big mac- not what i want when i want a fantastic burger, but it's got its own "thang" that you would have a taste for- know what i mean?
reminded me of an In and Out burger more than 5 guys, definitely not in the class of Burger 21, Melt, Fosters, but VERY good for its class of burger!
Onion rings were excellent. Fries were undercooked and we did not like the oil they used, you shouldn't be able to taste it.
the Gold sauce was delish- as was their bbq sauce.
I will go back when I crave a wayback- the beef is definitely worth it!
I just want to say this is an A+ review. I haven't been but after reading this I know exactly what to expect and I don't have any preconceived notions on whether or not I will or won't like it.
Thanks for the kind words!
