I have a four-year olf Dell flat screen monitor for my desktop. The (one-cm diameter) power button seems stuck, and so I cannot turn my monitor on. Does anybody have a similar experience? or can suggest any fix? I'm trying to poke it up with a screw driver, but it's no help. Should I try to poke it out completely?
Help! and thanks for any suggestions.

tap it repeatedly pretty hard and see if it unsticks ... and this is a LCD? Also try removing the power and plugging it back in. You might also be able to flex that part of the monitor a bit and see if anything happens. If al else fails, maybe some nonconductive contact cleaner from rat shack might help.

I keep forgetting to add that it is LCD -it's been a while since I've seen a CRT monitor:) Thanks for the response.

Is there screws to take it apart? I wouldnt recommend prying it with a screwdriver or anything unless as a last resort. I might as simple as taking the monitor case apart and setting the button back in straight. If you end up breaking it you might be making a Best Buy run soon for a new flatscreen. :)
