Free! Exterior Door Glass Insert - Jeld-Wen Door

Free to anyone that wants it, a replacement glass insert for a Jeld-Wen door... or any door that will accommodate the insert. I hate to put this out for trash/recycling if someone can find a way to re-use it.

This is a 24.75" x 65.5" dual pane insert with full view 15-light. Both the mullions and a white mini-blind are contained between the glass panels. This measurement is the outside dimension of the frame. The "hole" in the door that this fits in is probably 1" smaller on each dimension (sorry, don't have exact on the door hole size).

This would be great replacement if your door seal has failed and the window fogged. Note, this is only the replacement panel. It is the one we took OUT of our Jeld-Wen door when we replaced the insert under warranty. We changed it because of a slight haze on the glass (only seen when direct sun is on it) and because moving the shade in winter (only) causes a scraping sound along the glass. Otherwise, it functions perfectly and has no other issues.

It's installed by inserting the panel from exterior, and screwing on the interior frame. It's held in place by screws around the perimeter that "sandwich" the door between the frames. The exterior will need caulking when installed to prevent leaks. You'll also need new white plugs to cover the screw holes (available at Lowes/Home Depot or from Jeld Wen) if you want to hide the screws on the inside.
