Received an HOA violation for a fading shutter on the second level on our Single family home. Builder is Van Metre 2003 built.

I have reached out to Mid America Components and they asked me to submit a Warranty Claim online which I have submitted today. Will take them some time to process that and make a decision.

In the event the Warranty claim is denied was wondering whether anyone in Broadlands Community has replaced shutters or addressed violation of fading shutters and was wondering if there are companies/contractors who do this kind of work. Any pointers would be appreciated as this will have to addressed in a reasonable time frame.

Following...Mid America replaced mine several years ago (like ten years ago) under warranty and will not replace them again. The replacements have now faded and I got the violation also. I too am looking for a painter or contractor that can handle this.

You can order replacement shutters at Home Depot. That's where I got mine. They only attach with plastic push in plugs that usually come with the new shutters.

They are the worst though. Flimsy plastic. I wish builders would use a better product or no product at all. Fake shutters are stupid
