    Full Size Student Violin
Details on inside sticker: Karl Hofner (KH) Bubenreuth 2006 Germany
Still in good shape - played for 3 years (not played very often, actually). Been sitting in case for 2 years.

Paid $800 retail on the 3 year plan. Finished paying 3 months after my child stopped playing. Asking $400. PM me.

Or, if anyone knows of a shop that buys violins, please PM me.

I should add that it had a pretty tone to it (according to the teacher). It is at least an average student violin - maybe a bit above average - but not anywhere near pro level. If you know someone who can look at it and play it for you, I will bring it to you to look at/try out. The strings are loose/out of tune from sitting, but someone who knows what they are doing can tune/tighten them in a minute (but not my kid, trust me, probably has my tone deafness).

It is a full size violin. Usually, younger kids start with a 1/2 size. Then, move up to a 3/4 size after a few years. Full size are generally for older kids.

Unfortunately, your 5 year old would probably not be able to play it - it will be too big.

I just saw the violin in the closet again. Yep, I still have it. School is starting up again, so pm me if you would like to buy one for your student.
