The Southern Walk HOA (SWHOA) board has established a committee to help determine the next steps in the future of SWHOA. The committee has been created to gather input from the community to provide recommendations to the board as to what the future for Southern Walk HOA should look like. The first step in the committee is to ask for assistance from community residents of Southern Walk. The committee will look at several factors from various perspectives, ask for input from the community as a whole, and finalize a recommendation to the board for the board to take action on. If you are interested in providing input or would like to join the committee please contact the President of the the SWHOA to join. The meetings will take place monthly and will be virtual so as to keep with physical distancing requirements.

    Thank you all.

    President, Southern Walk HOA

The lack of detail is not helpful in understanding what is being proposed or considered. Can you please provide additional information.

I think that is the point of the Committee? The SWHOA is asking for the community to form a Committee to create proposals, consider options and suggest what "happens to" or should "be done with" the SWHOA? That one way I interpreted the post and letter we got. There is no answer or solution yet...

Once the bulk contract has expired, let people make their own decisions. Cable is dying anyhow with all the streaming services. Dissolve the SWHOA.

It was only about Internet. The SWHOA contract does not require anything beyond that... we are already able to make our own decisions. If you want TV with Verizon, you do that yourself directly.... so I at least want to see if there is any benefit to renewing the contract for Internet.

I agree with T8erman and Zeratul, dissolve the SWHOA. The main HOA for Broadlands as a whole community is sufficient.

I did not say anything about dissolving the SWHOA.... one way or the other. I would rather understand the options first and at least take a look at some pros and cons at least.

The 6 million Dollar question is:
Will Verizon slam all of us with SIGNIFICANTLY higher fees for the same speed that we have right now or will our costs be lower after the HOA is disbanded?
