    According to a legal notice in Ashburn Today:

    Find out about plans to extend Gloucester Parkway from Loudoun County Parkway to the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Nokes Boulevard in Loudoun County. Review project information at www.virginiadot.org/projects/northernvirginia/gloucester_parkway_extension.asp or at VDOT's District office at 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030. You can also review the project information at VDOT's Leesburg Residency Office located at 41 Lawson Road, S.E., in Leesburg, VA 20175. Please call ahead at 703-259-2749 703-383-8368, 1-888-383-VDOT to ensure appropriate personnel are available to answer your questions.

    If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a public hearing. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Mr. Tim Hartzell, P.E., Virginia Department of Transportation, at the above address on or prior to August 16, 2013. If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of date, time, and place of the hearing will be posted.

    It is sad that it will take 2+years to complete. Such a critical link that would seriously relieve 28 and Waxpool.

    And the fact that they have to cross /14 to 1/2 mile of Wetlands with bridges, I'm not surprised at the timeline.

    When Gloucester was being connected to LCP it took a while because arrangements had to be made for crossing the creek (Broad Run?). I think there are a lot of regulations for "protected" landscapes that have to be considered. But I really look forward to the completion!!
