I came home with a takeout order today, first there was a chicken bone in the egg roll, I wrote that off . Later that day I had some for dinner and noticed what I thought was a bone in the General Tso and Lo Mein, but it was a piece of glass. I wont be having any chinese food for awhile.

Hey...ya'll should go back to them and explain it to them or take it to a lawyer...this is very DANGEROUS. What if someone swallowed it unintentionally? This is distressing!!!

I know the owner and he runs a very good operation - we've had nothing but great food from Happy Chopsticks. I too would encourage you to let them know about your experience so they can fix the problem.

Did you report this with the health department? Or are you just making this your first post here? Sorry, but I take the first post of anyone on a message board (no matter how long you've been registered) with a grain of salt, especially if it is ultra negative or positive.

There were lots of negative comments regarding Happy Chopsticks when they were opening, just because they were in the same center as Cafe Opera.

We've ordered from Happy Chopsticks several times (not too much since I'm not a fan of Chinese food) based on recommendations from friends and neighbors, with no problems. Their food is pretty tasty

I would have taken the food back for a replacement or refund and to let the manager know it had happened. If someone broke something in the kitchen, more food might have been affected and they would need to know in order to get rid of it. An employee might have done the breaking and cleaning up without telling anyone (afraid to say something, maybe?).

I had a hard wire bristle from a grill scrubber in in a burrito from one of the fast/casual burrito places once. At first I thought it was a chicken bone. My husband took it back to the store and explained to the manager who was very apologetic, replaced the food and gave a refund, and promised to check into it.

I had a very good lunch from there this week. I would suggest talking with the owner first. AFGM - this is a small place in the Sunoco shopping center across from Hillside Park.

That was my first time eating there, I saw a woman and a small child eating there and I just wondered if it was a broken glass that wasn't cleaned up correctly and they also had some in their food. I don't want to deter anyone from going there I just wanted to let others know what happened and make their own decision, and no I don't want my meal replaced, I just hope no injury develops from this.

I went there one time and found an entire Turkey Vulture carcass in my soup! Oh, wait, that's a different thread....

Seriously - you need to let them know if something is wrong or you just aren't satisfied. Too many small businesses go under because they don't get constructive feedback from the customers. Tell them what they're doing wrong, but tell them what they're doing right, too. If they listen and take corrective action, they'll be around for a while. If not, there will be another boarded up storefront - too much a common sight these days.

a big of a fan as I am of the OTHER Asian restaurant in this plaza- the egg foo yung at Happy Chopsticks is excellent. I didn't like anything else there though.

but on the topic- unfortunately this can happen ANYWHERE and it's unfortunate but even the most careful eatery can have this happen to them. it's happened to me before too and it's VERY disconcerting. hope you aren't injured by it...

we love Happy Chopsticks. Mou Shi Chicken is the bomb! If it had glass in it, I would likely pick it out and keep eating, it's that good.

So let me understand. You didn't inform the manager and don't plan to. You didn't contact the health department and don't plan to. Instead you decided to post anonymously on a forum where you've never posted before?

Happy must be doing a lot better than people expected....I've noticed Cafe Opera issuing coupons recently.

Nothing like a little competition to drive value.
