    Hello neighbors!

My 7-year old daughter has been taking horseback riding lessons privately for the last two spring/summers, but her teacher recently quit. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good stable (or private instructor) in the area with reasonable cost. Her previous teacher charged $50/hour. I was hoping for something along that ballpark again.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi,
Our daughter has been taking lessons at Misty Brae farm. That's a really nice stables, nice instructors. They also emphasize that horse care is all part of riding, the riders have to know how to look after the horses as well as ride them.

Ask for Carol...she's so nice to work with :)

I have 2 daughters that ride at Misty Brae (we have been there for 3 years). Both my girls are now involved in their pony club program as well and we could not be happier. They offer summer camps as well so if she just wants to try out the barn before she signs up for lessons that would be a great opportunity, plus she can meet a lot of the other riders/ students.
PM me if you have any questions

    Staci

Thank you both for your replies!! I'll be emailing Misty Brae for more info, per your recommendations.

    Thanks again! :)

My daughter rides at Gap Spring Farm. Lovely barn, not huge but wonderful ponies and Debbie is a great instructor. She also emphasizes all aspects of horse care. Give her a call....she does summer camps as well.
