Dear Neighbors: We are original owners with 20 years occupancy in Southern Walk. This week we received a letter referencing Intercoastal Mortgage, the mortgage lender associated with our builder, Van Metre Homes. Our original loan was with Intercoastal. The letter suggested our home warranty was expiring and we should call immediately. The only contact info was 1-888-404-4504. I called and spoke to Jordan. My goal was to see if we have, or until recently have had, a Home Warranty, what it covered, and what they offered. At 70 years old I've never dealt with a "customer service provider" who was so gratuitously rude and outright insulting. I asked for a website so I could review info about their company, who they are, and what they offer. It appears the process is they talk, you listen and then give them a credit card! Honestly, I'm still shaking from the experience. Home warranties are a highly competitive business. Asking for basic info in't asking too much. Wondering if anyone else has received a similar letter and if anyone else called? Looking more carefully now I see that they reference Intercoastal twice but the name of this company is not on the letter. The letter is signed by "Wade Grant." Any experiences?

Dear Neighbors: checking on line with the name and phone number this is listed as a possible scam by the Better Business Bureau.

I receive warranty junk mail all the time. They often reference a mortgage company you may have worked with in the past.
Anything I receive (unsolicited) gets tossed.
