LoCo Sheriff's Office has gone loco

I constantly hear complaints within our community about the lack of police enforcement for speeding. Claiborne Parkway seems to have become a training ground for the Indy 500 or the next motocross championship. But I figured with the population density increasing they probably have their hands full and don't have the manpower to cover traffic and parking violations like they used to.

Apparently I was wrong about that because today my daughter got a $40 ticket for "parking on the left edge of the roadway facing traffic", ON A CUL-DE-SAC no less. This is in Southern Walk on a street where cars have been parking that way on both sides of the road since we've moved here over 20 years ago.

Now before everyone jumps on my case saying that this is a valid offense, I am not going to disagree with you. Just seems to indicate to me that their priorities and manpower usage is a bit out of whack.

Glad to hear that enforcement is stepping up and I will no longer be bothered by those ignoring stop signs and going 15+ MPH over the limit on our local roads.

 

Depending on the cul de sac, the one off Village was always a disaster, I'm glad LOCO is acutallly enforcing the law on those streets. I almost think they did not know that was a county street. Sorry you kid got a ticket though.

 

I'll wager they're getting complaints so they were watching that area. Agree about Claiborne and Waxpool.
