We have the Loudoun paper dropped down the middle of our court on Goodwin Court this morning. I bet at least half of us would like to save paper/plastic and not receive one. It just becomes road pizza after we run over it enough times.
Please advise new person that the papers sound not be down the center of the road. And please make it easier to un subscribe to this paper.

Not sure who you think on these forums has anything to do with the papers.

I have also seen a bunch of these papers go down the sewage drains. I have not tried to call and cancel as it does look like they just throw them in every driveway every Friday. I always put it in the recycle bin. It does seem like a waste of money and additional trash in the neighborhood.

Has anyone bothered to call the paper and ask them to stop delivering to them? Just curious.

I have not as it is delivered to every house in the neighborhood pretty early in the morning so I am guessing they are just tossing them every driveway. I will try to call them and see what they say after I get the paper this Friday unless someone has the contact information they can post here. I forget what the name of the paper is. It usually goes from the street to the recycle bin.

For me- it goes right into trash- I never ever read it- huge waste of paper/plastic.

I’ve asked them to cease but to no avail.

They throw it into grass/driveway/street -

into landfill it goes—plastic bag and all. Not going to waste my time separating the two if they aren’t going to stop.

unsolicited stuff goes into trash anyway.

It does NOT go go every house in the neighborhood - no one on my street gets these unsolicited papers. I guess we lucked out.

I actually enjoy reading a newspaper that is a good source of local news and information. They do go into a lot more detail about what's happening in Loudoun than the Washington Post which when they remember Loudoun at all, focus more on big news stories such as the School Board mess.

If I wanted to read about Loudoun news, I go online as there are other news outlets and even the Times Mirror is online- news in paper is stale by the time it comes out-

Yes, years ago, and they stopped delivering to every house on our street. I was the homeowner always picking them up off the street and sidewalks. Gets old quickly.

It's amazing the papers are all over the neighborhood today, loose papers, loose plastic bags stuck in trees going down the sewers. Meanwhile we get charged $0.05/bag at the grocery store for using a plastic bag. LTM should be fined for all the pollution they are causing by tossing their papers around.

Snoopy and fellow neighbors....CJA is correct - emailing to circulationltm@loudountimes.com works! I heard back in less than 5 minutes, and it was a very cordial response. I wrote that I hate killing trees and just recycling this thing every week, and we never have time to read it. Here's the response:

    Good morning,

I completely understand. I sent a message to the carrier and to the lead district manager to get these deliveries stopped for you. Please let us know if they continue.

Thank you. Have a great rest of your week.
